All things new!

Where I’ve been: Since I last wrote, I’ve packed up (again…are you surprised?) and moved across continents to Canada, which I now call home for the next few years (hopefully). Every step I’ve taken was always going to lead me here, and I can only be grateful to God for the opportunity to live in my answered prayers.

It’s been an interesting past 2 years, a reminder of why I chose to live fully and take life as it comes, believing in God’s plan for me. For a while, I forgot I had this outlet where I shared some of my travel experiences, but I’m excited to share more here. I still want to share my favourite cities and experiences around the world, but can we also discuss how exhausting travel can be?

I didn’t think I would lose my spark for travel, but I did. Between launching a business, settling in a new country, and starting a new role, I stretched myself too thin. I don’t think I’m fully back yet, but I’m slowly easing into things.

Since moving here, I’ve already made quite a few trips back home (at this point, I should just move back to Nigeria since I can’t sit still in Canada lol). I also squeezed in trips to the States, Mexico and the UK.

I visited one of Canada’s prettiest little towns, Paris, Ontario. Paris is known for its charming cobblestone architecture, the largest collection of cobblestone buildings in North America. It reminded me that sometimes the most charming destinations aren’t across oceans, but just a short drive away. If you love outdoor activities, you’ll enjoy its riverside trails, canoeing, and the scenic beauty of the Grand River. I also found many cute souvenirs, ice cream and coffee shops. I had the best croissant I’ve had in a while at Dog Eared Cafe.

I’m excited it's fall season (feels like summer on some days) and I’m looking forward to a few things; I’ll be hosting dinner at mine - Community Chow, - celebrating my friends, and my birthday (ofc!).
